About the Role

Provide clientele with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development, with the overall goal of social competency. Assume a lead role in the classroom while performing teaching activities in accordance with the EEC & EHS Head Start Performance Standards. Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver age-appropriate educational activities aligned with EEC & EHS Head Start Performance Standards
  • Engage parents to enhance their understanding of child growth, education, and development for infants and toddlers
  • Assist with meal times and other assigned activities

Requirements

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required; AA/AS or BA/BS in early childhood or related field preferred
  • EEC Infant Toddler certification required
  • Bilingual (Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or Spanish) a plus but not required
  • Must speak and understand English fluently
  • Valid Massachusetts state driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

All candidates must pass CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background checks prior to employment.
