Duck Creek Developer II - Policy

About the role

Join our Duck Creek Development Team at NLS as a Developer II and create custom applications that power innovative products and services. You’ll work with Duck Creek’s proprietary tools alongside industry-standard code management systems, collaborating with Analysts, Architects, Business SMEs, and Project Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role offers the chance to grow your skills, contribute to customer satisfaction, and be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications and services using software development best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and configuration management
• Coordinate configuration and testing with appropriate departments for client application release schedules
• Work with clients and team members to understand and interpret business requirements
• Develop custom Duck Creek solutions via ManuScript configuration
• Collaborate to understand business needs and translate them into ManuScript Inheritance structures, including design of technical components

Requirements

• Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Thorough understanding of the Duck Creek Platform, including all components (Author, Express, Server, User Admin, TransACT)
• Experience using Duck Creek Skins
• Experience using C# based custom business objects
• Experience using Duck Creek API
• Experience using Duck Creek Anywhere
• Full knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile environment
• Solid understanding of logical programming, data structures, and design platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, team player, and self-starter
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to take ownership of customer issues and see through to resolution
• 2+ years of experience with Duck Creek product lines
