Duck Creek Configurator II, III (Optional Work from Home)

Entry-level role within the operations/policy administration team. Under supervision, the Product Configurator I configures rates, rules, and forms in the policy administration system (PAS).

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring the Operations helpdesk, triage requests, escalate to appropriate parties, and provide level-one support (e.g., setting up new users, password assistance).
• Respond to technical-assistance requests in person, by phone, or electronically.
• Understand business and regulatory requirements and ensure they are met before making configuration changes in the PAS.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
• Use PAS configuration tools to implement approved changes and perform testing to verify functionality.
• Fix defects discovered during testing related to product configuration.
• Perform peer review and quality testing on other configuration changes.
• Document requirements, including use cases and user stories; maintain knowledge-base documents.
• Write and execute test plans and test scripts.
• Follow best practices for code deployment: work on local repository, perform pull/push/merge operations.
• Maintain accurate records in JIRA, service desk, and Confluence applications.
• Generate routine project-status reports as requested by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an analytic field (e.g., math, computer science, accounting).
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Experience performing analytical or quantitative tasks in spreadsheet/database applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with insurance products, rules, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of the Duck Creek Author tool.
