Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Duck Creek-based solutions for insurance systems
- Configure and customize Duck Creek applications (Policy, Billing, Claims) as applicable
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand and refine functional requirements
- Develop and maintain integrations using XML, APIs, and web services
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and performance
- Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration details, and design artifacts
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Perform technical review of all development activities
- Guide developers technically and functionally
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in P&C insurance with a strong understanding of underwriting, rating, insurance rules, and forms
- Strong experience with Duck Creek (Example Author, Server, and Express)
- Hands-on experience in design, build, and configuration to meet business requirements, including unit testing
- Experience using debugging tools like Data Tester, Example Utility, Trace Monitor, TSV Debugger, etc.
- Experience in custom development in Skins (added advantage)
- Ability to estimate requirements and guide development activities
- Experience in code check-in/out, merging, and deployment to higher environments
- Agile/Scrum experience

Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted locations (San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, NYC, Toronto) is $90,000 to $117,453. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on position and applicable laws.
