About the Role

InReach needs a Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Independent Contractor) for a young adult male individual with developmental disabilities in the Weddington/Matthews area of Union County. Staff will provide respite services for 10-15 hours a week on a PRN (as needed) schedule, Sunday through Saturday.

Pay rate: $17.00/hr for respite services.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Help the individual develop healthy social habits
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

Additional Contractor Details

This DSP position is an Independent Contractor role. Independent contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party contract management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees for contractors include:
