About the Role
InReach needs a Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Independent Contractor) for a female individual with developmental disabilities in Concord, NC (Cabarrus County). Staff will provide Day Support Services and occasional Respite Services for approximately 15-20 hours per week. Must be flexible with schedule as it will change when school starts back up in late August.
Schedule
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (10 AM to 1 PM or 10 AM to 2 PM).
Pay
Day Support: $22.52/hour
Respite: $16.07/hour
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles
- Facilitate community integration
- Help individual develop healthy social habits
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred
Additional Information
This DSP position is an Independent Contractor role. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
