DSP Independent Contractor Concord NC (SP)

About the role

InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We hire Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support. We need a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a young male individual with developmental disabilities in the Concord, NC area (ZIP 28025). Staff will provide Community Living and Support Services for approximately 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
• Position is an Independent Contractor; contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third‑party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits.
• Contractors are responsible for state‑required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.

Pay

$20.35 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday: 6 pm to 10 pm; Saturday and Sunday: 8 am to 5:30 pm.
