About the Role

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Independent Contractor) to support an adult female individual with developmental disabilities in Waxhaw, NC (Union County). This role involves providing Community Living and Support Services for approximately 32 hours per week. Staff must be able to handle a wheelchair and manage total care needs, including lifting, bathing, and feeding.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay

$20.35 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Assist in developing healthy social habits
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred
• Ability to handle total care needs, including lifting, bathing, and feeding
• Ability to handle a wheelchair

Additional Contractor Details

This DSP position is an Independent Contractor role. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees for Contractors include:
