About the Role

InReach needs a Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Independent Contractor) for a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Matthews, NC area of Union County. Staff will provide Community Networking Services for approximately 10–15 hours a week, with the possibility of additional hours later.

• Must be able to handle personal needs
• Must be comfortable with pets in the home

Responsibilities

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Help individual develop healthy social habits
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

This DSP position is an Independent Contractor role. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9 AM to 2 PM
• Thursday and Friday: flexible

$22.27 per hour
