About the Role
AdvisaCare Hospice serves patients in the DOWN RIVER Wayne County area (Trenton, Riverview, Southgate areas). We are looking for compassionate and dependable people to be there for our hospice patients.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Sitting Bedside with Hospice Patients in Nursing Facilities
- Providing Caregiver Relief inside Private Residences
- Pet Therapy (already licensed dogs) to visit with patients
- Play the Guitar Bedside of hospice patients
- Bereavement Volunteer Support Calls to Family & Assisting with Grief Groups
- Pre-Med Students who want to learn about gerontology patient care
- Grief Support (Remote)
Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Willing to submit TB and Drug Tests and to be Fingerprinted
- No Healthcare Experience Needed
- You Volunteer NEAR YOU in YOUR AREA
- Hospice does not accept court ordered service hours
