Division Head, Pediatric Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine
About the role
The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, affiliated with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, seeks a Head of the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. This position is on the non-tenure eligible track at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, requiring MD or MD/PhD certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine.

Requirements
The successful candidate should be a strategic, thoughtful leader with robust experience in an academic medical center setting. They should have an interest in faculty and fellow mentorship, as it is a key responsibility in supporting division members' career growth and development. This individual will act as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, hospital administration, external groups, and philanthropic donors. The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Division Administrator.
Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine
- Strategic, thoughtful leadership experience in an academic medical center
- Experience in recruiting, retaining, and developing distinguished faculty
- Strong commitment to academic and research excellence
