District Enforcement Specialist I (PTNB)
Under general supervision of the District Supervisor, the District Enforcement Specialist implements district plans, operations, and services in the Northgate District. Responsibilities include providing customer service to stakeholders, citizens, and visitors; enforcing City Ordinances; and improving neighborhood integrity through district policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform parking operations, including monetary and financial functions, staffing pay stations and gates, conducting garage and parking asset services, and general maintenance.
- Enforce parking regulations by resolving unsafe or illegal parking situations, issuing citations, and arranging removal of illegally parked vehicles.
- Provide district services such as refuse collection, common area upkeep, pressure washing, minor horticulture work, vandalism response, graffiti removal, and addressing district nuisances.
- Assist in planning, producing, and implementing special events, including vendor relations, street closures, logistical support, entertainment coordination, and site preparation.
- Coordinate and communicate with district stakeholders, municipal departments, citizens, and visitors to address questions and feedback regarding district operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as overseeing or coordinating work assignments for community workers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work Texas A&M University home football games and other special events as identified.
Work Environment
The role involves both indoor (parking garage) and outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions and potentially hazardous situations. Physical demands include frequent bending, standing, kneeling, reaching, and moderate to heavy physical exertion, including lifting objects up to 75 lbs. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity are required to operate equipment.
Schedule
- Thursday: 4:30 PM to 3:30 AM
- Friday and Saturday: 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM
Hours are subject to change based on operational needs. Employees are eligible for a $0.50/hour shift differential.
