Who We Are

CAMBA is a community organization that works to build an inclusive New York City where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports they need to thrive. We offer more than 180 integrated programs in areas such as education, family support, job training, health, housing, and legal services. We serve over 72,000 individuals and families annually across 100 locations, including 10,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross-section of New Yorkers, with more than half of our clients being immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families live in poverty.

We operate homeless shelters funded by the New York City Department of Homeless Services. These shelters provide a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free environment for homeless men and women, offering comprehensive services to help them stabilize their conditions and transition into permanent or supported housing. The Broadway House Women’s Shelter, located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, serves 165 women, with approximately 37 of them being MICA clients.
