About the role
The Facility Coordinator at Broadway House Women’s Shelter is responsible for maintaining a safe and functional environment for clients and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to client care and facility management.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure client confidentiality.
- Develop, implement, and manage a preventive maintenance plan.
- Ensure staff attend all necessary universal precaution trainings.
- Train direct reporting staff on facility operations and proper use of all equipment.
- Report any and all inoperable tools/equipment to the Assistant Program Manager.
- Provide and/or oversee minor repairs and improvements to the facility.
- Ensure proper maintenance inventory and storage of all maintenance equipment, supplies, and tools.
- Report need for maintenance or repairs of HVAC, elevator, fire safety, and security systems.
- Ensure contractual services are provided as required.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance is in accordance with CAMBA’s policy.
- Ensure direct reporting staff comply with city and state rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, peers, and supervisors.
- Motivate, coach, and counsel direct reporting staff.
- Encourage teamwork among direct reporting staff and peers.
- Assess and address client and staff problems.
- Work with direct reporting staff to improve performance.
- Administer constructive discipline as needed.
- Participate in administrative and all-staff meetings.
- Coordinate and lead maintenance staff meetings.
- Prepare and submit required reports.
- Complete incident and performance appraisal reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience.
