About the role

The Director of Human Resources will lead the human resources function at Western Municipal Water District, shaping the organization's culture and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Shape the full cycle human resources experience
• Embed best in class HR and safety practices into business operations
• Coach cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent, high quality employee experience

Requirements

• Deep expertise in public-sector human resources
• Experience in labor relations, employee relations, classification and compensation, benefits, investigations, safety, and compliance
• Strategic and people-centered leadership skills
• Alignment with Western Water’s vision, strategic priorities, and C.A.R.E. culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in human resources, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of public sector regulations and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
