Director of HR
Position Overview
This is a volunteer position for U.S. residents only. We are seeking a candidate to guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company AEON FOR OCEAN.
Your Impact on our Mission/Responsibilities
- Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Monitors administration to established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies
- Counsels and advises employees on matters related to human resources, including compensation, benefits, and employee relations
- Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments
- Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems
- Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals
- Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment
- Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
- Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
What You’ll Bring to the Team/Qualifications
- Effective oral & written communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team-oriented environment
- Prior experience with a non-profit organization is preferred
- Location within the 48 contiguous United States
Time Commitment
Please Note - This is a volunteer position for U.S. residents only. We are looking for someone who can dedicate about 6-8 hours per week, and can commit for at least 1 year (though we’d love to have you even longer!).
