Director of HR
About the role
The Director of HR will lead and scale the HR function across three distinct branches: the corporate HQ, the South SF Fulfillment Center, and the distributed stylist network. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to HR management.
Responsibilities
Be a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development.
Build data-driven performance management, growth frameworks, and compensation benchmarking to retain top talent.
Standardize HR workflows that keep corporate teams aligned and moving quickly.
Oversee HR for the fulfillment team, including overseeing labor and capacity planning, regular floor presence, and employee relations.
Evolve HR systems and processes for the distributed stylist network, focusing on retention and engagement.
Requirements
A track record heading up HR for an hourly, distributed, or multi-site workforce.
Retail, logistics, fulfillment, hospitality, or marketplace backgrounds are relevant.
8+ years of experience in HR.
Experience managing across diverse, multi-location setups is a major plus.
Deep, current knowledge of California employment law, especially as it applies to hourly, onsite, and operational teams.
Proven experience managing, developing, and holding HR team members accountable.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.

Fulfillment Center Operations (South San Francisco): Labor & Capacity Planning, Floor Presence, Employee Relations.
Styling (Distributed Stylist Network): Scaling, Retention and Engagement.
