About the role
The Summer of Discovery is an exciting program designed to engage visitors of all ages in hands-on learning experiences. It includes various activities such as field trips, museum classes, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute summer programs and events
- Manage group reservations and field trip requests
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop engaging exhibits and activities
- Ensure compliance with safety and accessibility guidelines
- Communicate with parents and guardians about program details
- Handle inquiries and provide information about membership benefits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, or related field
- Experience planning and executing educational programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Passion for education and community engagement
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
