Director of Finance
About the role
The Director of Finance will own and maintain financial and revenue models, deliver consistent, timely, accurate, high-quality, and insightful financial data, and collaborate with functional leaders to provide strategic analytic support in financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain financial and revenue models
- Deliver consistent, timely, accurate, high-quality, and insightful financial data to department leads and the executive team
- Develop and rigorously test financial models for product offerings, assisting the business in making critical decisions
- Identify risks and assumptions underlying current and future business operations
- Prepare comprehensive current and forecasted revenue and cost projections and lead variance analysis meetings
- Collaborate effectively with the accounting to ensure synchronization of financial data
- Support company fundraising efforts
- Respond to ad-hoc modeling requests from various business units
Requirements
- BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar discipline; MBA preferred
- 10+ years experience, with 4+ years at technology company at a senior level
- Developed complex operational and financial models to evaluate business performance, forecast growth scenarios, optimize resource allocation, and support executive-level strategic planning
- Prior hardware cost experience
- Exceptional analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, tracking KPIs, variance analysis, and problem-solving through data across the business
- An ability to dive down into the weeds of the numbers with high attention to detail, and to take a step back and see the big picture
- Adaptable approach to working in a startup environment
- Excellent communicator and collaborator to present financials and partner with leaders across the organization
Qualifications

- This role is based out of the Mountain View HQ. This position requires 4 days a week in our Mountain View office.
