Director of Finance & Accounting

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director Of Finance & Accounting to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and contribute to the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Lead the annual financial audit and manage auditor relationships
• Develop and implement accounting policies to maintain GAAP compliance
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements to stakeholders
• Perform monthly variance analyses to suggest financial improvements
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
• Directly manage the Senior Accountant and partner with other finance roles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Active CPA license required
• 8+ years of accounting (ideally audit) and finance experience
• Proven experience managing an end-to-end audit process
• Experienced with general ledger systems like NetSuite
• 4+ years of management experience managing a team
• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of US GAAP

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 annually
