Job Responsibilities/Description
The Facilities Director will oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the NJSOC physical campus. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing weekly and daily work calendars and line-out meetings.
- Implementing an annual maintenance plan and managing facilities spaces.
- Managing the Facilities Department and Crew, including personnel and management issues.
- Maintaining tools, fixtures, equipment, buildings, and infrastructure.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of NJSOC vehicles and supplies.
- Oversight of janitorial services, including staffing, cleaning scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
- Seasonal landscaping maintenance, including winter-end cleanup, mowing, and snow removal.
- Managing exterior assets such as the wastewater treatment plant, solar field, propane farm, electrical grid, and lake/spillway/dam complex.
- Supporting capital improvements, including understanding the design and construction process, overseeing subcontractors, and allocating department personnel.
- Coordinating OSHA and emergency plan training for the Facilities Crew and NJSOC staff.
- Nurturing relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Communicating with staff and preparing for program briefings and weekly reports.
Required Skills
- Experience managing a campus, including buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Experience with janitorial services.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.

- Basic computer and tech skills.
- Comfortable with project management and planning.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations and emergencies.

Salary Range
$85,000 to $107,000. NJSOC offers a full range of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plan with employer matching, and paid time off.
