About the role
The Director of Facilities oversees all aspects of the organization's physical infrastructure, including maintenance, operations, and improvements. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of facility management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement long-term facility improvement plans that align with organizational goals.
- Manage a team of facility managers and technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of facility needs into overall organizational strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding workplace safety and environmental standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
