We power campaigns for leading brands across gaming, D2C, tech, and entertainment including Epic Games, Warby Parker, NordVPN, and Manscaped. Our team specializes in building high-impact, results-driven partnerships, leveraging creators to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a strategic, revenue-driven sales leader to expand our brand partnerships and drive new business growth.
Overview of the role
Pixly is seeking a talented and versatile Business Development Director to join our team. This person will be a key driver of growth for our full-service influencer marketing agency. This individual will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities that align with Pixly’s brand and performance-focused influencer marketing solutions. This person will lead pitch teams in conceptualizing and delivering thinking that positions the agency to win. Strong experience in new business development and strategy in the influencer space are required. Candidates should have a strong track record of leading/winning pitches, with demonstrable strategic leadership and a passion for delivering innovative thinking. The ideal candidate has deep brand sales experience, a strong network of decision-makers at leading brands, and the ability to build relationships that result in high-value, long-term client partnerships.
What you will do in this role
- Help lead the agency’s new business efforts across priority categories, prospects, and partners.
- Own the pitch process end-to-end, from RFP through proposal delivery and close.
- Serve as a senior client-facing lead in pitch meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Help shape strategy and narratives that align client briefs and influencer opportunities with agency capabilities and goals.
- Oversee pitch scoping, resourcing, timelines, and budgets to ensure feasibility and profitability.
- Partner closely with our parent company, Acceleration Community of Companies, on sales strategy.
- Aid in pipeline development, developing leads, tracking opportunities, win/loss insights, and conversion rates.
- Build relationships with key industry players, trade organizations, and decision-makers to maintain top-of-mind awareness.
- Represent Pixly at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Identify proactive growth opportunities across existing relationships and industry networks.
What you will bring to this role
- A relentless desire to win + the instincts and intuition to make it happen.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 7+ years relevant experience, with at least 3+ years of new business experience.
- Proven experience leading and winning influencer pitches and new business initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch, with the ability to translate trends into sales opportunities.
- Experience using Apollo or similar sales automation platforms for prospecting and outreach.
- Strong strategic thinking paired with creative and financial acumen.
- Calm, decisive leadership under pressure and tight timelines.
Salary description
$100,000 - $150,000 plus Sales Commission
