About the role

The firm is in a major expansion phase and seeks a Director of Business Development to help define their presence in a highly dynamic market.

Responsibilities

  • Winning profitable business from both new and existing clients

  • Identifying client needs, qualifying opportunities, and collaborating with internal delivery teams to craft compelling solutions

  • Leading proposal development and pricing coordination

  • Identifying opportunities for differentiation in technical capability, project delivery, and commercial strategy

  • Calling on prospective owner-operators, decision-makers, and key accounts

  • Conducting cold outreach and targeted lead generation

  • Attending industry conferences, networking events, and serving as a thought leader in your space

  • Gathering and returning competitive intelligence to strengthen market positioning

  • Participating in project management activities for engagements you help secure

  • Serving as the primary client contact to deepen and expand long-term relationships

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (required)

  • 8+ years of business development or senior sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity

  • A proven track record of winning and growing accounts at a senior level

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert high-value opportunities

  • A proactive, outgoing, results-driven approach with the ability to work independently

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels

  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required

  • Ability to work fully on-site at our Greater Savannah, GA location

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Established professional network across the Southeast US

  • Experience building or scaling a business development function within a vertical market

  • Familiarity with the Greater Savannah / Coastal Georgia business landscape

  • Base Salary: $160,000 to $224,000 per year, based on experience
