About the role
The firm is in a major expansion phase and seeks a Director of Business Development to help define their presence in a highly dynamic market.
Responsibilities
Winning profitable business from both new and existing clients
Identifying client needs, qualifying opportunities, and collaborating with internal delivery teams to craft compelling solutions
Leading proposal development and pricing coordination
Identifying opportunities for differentiation in technical capability, project delivery, and commercial strategy
Calling on prospective owner-operators, decision-makers, and key accounts
Conducting cold outreach and targeted lead generation
Attending industry conferences, networking events, and serving as a thought leader in your space
Gathering and returning competitive intelligence to strengthen market positioning
Participating in project management activities for engagements you help secure
Serving as the primary client contact to deepen and expand long-term relationships
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (required)
8+ years of business development or senior sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
A proven track record of winning and growing accounts at a senior level
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert high-value opportunities
A proactive, outgoing, results-driven approach with the ability to work independently
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required
Ability to work fully on-site at our Greater Savannah, GA location
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree
Established professional network across the Southeast US
Experience building or scaling a business development function within a vertical market
Familiarity with the Greater Savannah / Coastal Georgia business landscape
Benefits
Base Salary: $160,000 to $224,000 per year, based on experience
Performance bonus tied directly to revenue and growth targets
