Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the full proposal development lifecycle, including ownership of the phase gate process for all pursuits.
  • Develop and implement capture strategies tailored to specific space sector markets, such as spacecraft, payloads, and related mission services.
  • Own the business development pipeline, collaborating closely with portfolio leads to ensure accuracy, timely updates, and comprehensive opportunity coverage; support all pipeline-related reporting requirements and executive briefings.
  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis to remain current on space industry dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer priorities.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry partners and teammates, strategically assembling and leading high-performing proposal teams.
  • Serve as proposal manager for major, high-value pursuits—including strategic opportunities requiring executive engagement and complex solution development.
  • Collaborate with Arcfield proposal and business enablement staff to provide mentorship, leadership, and oversight on smaller-scale proposals and bids.
  • Cook up internal and external resources to produce compliant, compelling, and winning proposals on schedule.
  • Champion proposal process improvement initiatives and share best practices across the proposal and business development organization.

Qualifications

  • BS 16-18, MS 14+, PhD 10+
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience
  • Understanding of the Shipley Proposal Process
  • Must have experience with the U.S. Aerospace and Space Community
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of the internal team to create novel solutions for customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Experience developing and managing a business pipeline with opportunities equal to or greater than 7x annual sales
  • Experience selling to senior customers within the US Government
  • Proven track record of building, developing, and leading business development teams with a demonstrated track record of winning new businesses
  • Ability to Obtain and Maintain a TS/SCI

Pay

Min: $149,432.32
Max: $259,833.82
