DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategic business development plan aligned with organizational growth goals.
• Establishes, maintains, and deepens relationships with referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other community partners.
• Identifies opportunities to improve referral conversion, source diversification, and community visibility.
• Provides education to referral sources on hospice eligibility, services, and the organization’s differentiators.
• Collaborates with the clinical team to support seamless transitions for referred patients.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare sales required.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed growth targets and referral goals.
• Strong knowledge of hospice philosophy, eligibility, and service offerings preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and ability to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• This position is primarily field-based with routine travel to referral sources and community locations.
• Time in the office is expected as needed for administrative duties.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, communicate effectively in person and by phone, and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Compensation

The starting compensation for this position is $125,000 - $125,000 USD. Arc Hospice & Palliative Care is committed to transparency and equity in all compensation practices. The rate displayed reflects the starting hourly or salaried pay for the role and does not represent a range.
