About the role
The Director of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntsville, AL. This role leads the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives, identifying new commercial and government aviation opportunities aligned with Ace Aeronautics’ portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing a pipeline of prospects, leading proposal efforts, negotiating contracts, and nurturing key customer and partner relationships. The director collaborates with executive leadership, program management, engineering, and finance to shape go-to-market strategies, refine value propositions, and ensure successful capture of opportunities. The role also involves market analysis, participation in industry events, and forecasting revenue to support long-term business planning.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in new business development and lead generation within aviation, defense, or related industries
- Strong skills in business planning and strategic growth initiatives, including market and competitive analysis
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing complex agreements with commercial and government customers
- Solid account management capabilities, with a track record of maintaining and expanding key customer and partner relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, aviation management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense procurement processes, including familiarity with government acquisition and contracting practices
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL, travel as needed, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experience leading high-impact business development teams or initiatives, with measurable revenue growth outcomes
