Must be 21 years of age. Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D. A valid driver's license is required. 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred. NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

About the role

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our program in Trenton, NJ. If you are a Caregiver, Direct Care Worker, Home Health aide or always wanted to be one, this is the opportunity for you. Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals' lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals.

Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities (e.g., housekeeping, laundry).
  • Assist individuals with daily and personal activities to enhance independence.
  • Perform duties under the supervision of the House Manager, with results reviewed through observation, inspections, and meetings.

Pay

$19.13 per hour.

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 3p–11pm
  • Friday: 3p–11p
  • Saturday: 9a–9p
