As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.

Position Details

Part-time role available – Schedule is Saturday 8am to Monday 8am with sleepover at the group home. You are required to stay on site for the duration of your shift and clock out to sleep each night for 8 hours. In the event you need to assist a resident during the night, you will be compensated for your time. Guests and pets are not allowed. Overtime is occasionally available on site, but regularly available at regional group homes for those looking for extra hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning
  • Provide personal care such as bathing and dressing
  • Offer employment support
  • Transport the client to appointments and run errands
  • Help plan and organize their schedule
  • Perform daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or the ability to learn new technology
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance

Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training is provided.
