About the role

Join Easterseals PORT Health as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and play a vital role in empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential homes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
  • Aid with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Support personal care activities like bathing, dressing, toiletry, and changing diapers.
  • Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
  • Plan and organize their schedule.
  • Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

Requirements

  • Stay on site for the duration of your shift and clock out to sleep each night for 8 hours.
  • Compensation: $15.00/hour.

Qualifications

  • A High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn.
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.

  • Education: A High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Technology: Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy to learn.
  • Transportation: DSPs must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
