Direct Support Professional / Group Home
About the role
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) empowers individuals and strengthens communities through our mission. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a crucial role in supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
- Aid with daily tasks including housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing and dressing.
- Support employment activities and transportation to appointments and errands.
- Document and report daily in the electronic health system of record.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
- Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
- Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- Entry-level, on-the-job training provided.
- Flexible schedules available: every other weekend (9am-9pm) or 3 days a week (3pm-11pm).
- Competitive salary of $15.00 per hour.
- Paid training includes CPR/first aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, and Seizure Management.

What We’re Looking For
