Dir. of Youth Ministries - Redmond PC

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging curriculum that inspires students to grow in faith, love, and service for all Youth Ministry programs: Elementary Youth (Grades PreK – 5), Middle School Youth (Grades 6 – 8) and High School Youth (Grades 9 – 12)
• Equip, call, organize, train, and encourage volunteers & parents for effective ministry
• Integrate Youth Ministry program within the whole life of the church.
• Lead Sunday morning Youth education program across both age groups, assisted by volunteers where appropriate.
• Lead regular evening and/or weekend Youth group meetings for both Middle School and High School groups respectively.
• Ensure risk management and child protection policies are established, maintained and enforced, including compliance with all applicable legal requirements
• Meet with other church staff and volunteers to plan, oversee, and support programs and events, including but not limited to Mission, recreational and worship-related activities.
• Facilitate new member/family assimilation process in collaboration with the Pastor & others

Qualifications

• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through actions and lifestyle
• Experience with Youth faith development and evidence of teaching skills in an age- appropriate context.
• Solid interpersonal communication skills, supporting and providing a safe and nurturing environment for inquisitive minds
• Capacity to motivate, connect with, and inspire the Youth and Children
• Ability to recruit, train, and encourage volunteers and parents
• Strong administrative and organizational skillset
• Flexibility to work with a variety of changing events, schedules, and priorities
