Director of Youth Ministries
About the role
The Part-Time Director of Youth Ministries will lead and nurture middle and high school youth in Christian discipleship at Crawford Street United Methodist Church in Vicksburg, MS.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that foster spiritual growth, fellowship, service, and leadership among middle and high school youth.
- Cultivate a Christ-centered, inclusive, and engaging environment for youth.
- Collaborate with other church staff to integrate youth ministry into the broader church life.
- Ensure compliance with Safe Sanctuaries policies and participate in required training.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Safe Sanctuaries policies or willingness to complete required training.
- A college degree or relevant coursework preferred.
- Experience working with middle and high school youth is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for youth ministry and a commitment to fostering a faith community.

Benefits
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 10-15 hours per week or roughly 600 hours per year, including Sunday mornings and one or two weekly gatherings and several summer events.
