About the role
Provide high-quality meal service and create a gracious environment for residents in a senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Accurately communicate and relay meal orders to kitchen staff.
- Assist with special functions and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Oversee bistro areas, including food presentation, stock, and beverage service.
- Learn residents' names, dietary preferences, and special requests.
- Serve hot food hot and cold food cold, and reset tables after meals.
- Participate in quality assurance and complete all training and meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a sanitary environment.
- Support team through participation in scheduled functions and ongoing training.
Requirements
- Demonstrate core values of love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, and respect.
- Previous experience in healthcare dietary services or restaurants preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of regulations related to ADA, health, infection control, and OSHA standards.
