About the role
Provide high-quality meal service and create a gracious environment for residents in a senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Accurately communicate and relay meal orders to kitchen staff.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during all interactions with residents.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in dining areas.
- Assist with special functions, oversee bistro areas, and ensure proper food presentation.
- Learn resident preferences, dietary needs, and requests.
- Serve hot foods hot and cold foods cold, ensuring quality standards.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and attend trainings and meetings.
- Sanitize tables, reset dining areas, and keep floors clean after meals.
Requirements
- Demonstrate core values such as love, kindness, honesty, and respect.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or restaurant setting preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations from health, safety, and sanitation authorities.
- Must be present during scheduled shifts and attend mandatory trainings.
