About the role

The Director Digital Transformation Leader is a "trusted advisor" to business executives, establishing and maintaining value-driven, strategic relationships with NAPD Finance and Northstar business partners managing buy-side processes. This role proactively manages business demand by linking IT’s capabilities to business partners’ individual goals in a direct, constructive manner. The DTL acts as a challenger and "order shaper" rather than an "order taker," reframing how business partners view their needs and pushing them out of their comfort zone through constructive tension. They love to debate and are comfortable challenging their business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Works with business executives to align data and technology solutions with business strategies and contributes to the business unit strategic planning process.
  • Anticipates business needs and identifies and proposes IT products and services to fulfill those needs, including IT opportunity pipeline management, qualification, internal value modeling, and proposing processes.
  • Manages a portfolio of initiatives aligned to business priorities and strategies, conducting monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews with the business.
  • Partners with business executives to create a technology roadmap that builds competitive advantage and improves business performance.
  • Acts as a chief marketer and communicator of IT services and capabilities to promote an understanding of IT roles, processes, and activities to the business.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent; typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience (less if holding relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications).
  • Extensive experience leading digital transformation within or working with drug manufacturer or distribution organizations.
  • Experience in strategic planning, business development, or client management.
  • Good knowledge of the health industry, pharmaceuticals, and major business processes and key performance indicators.
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging technology trends and developments.
  • IT and business work experience with exposure to various technical environments and business segments.
  • Experience managing programs with complex and large portfolios of initiatives.
  • Three or more years of experience managing others.
  • Solid planning, financial, and performance management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., now or in the future, without support from McKesson.

Pay

Our Base Pay Range for this position is $163,100 - $271,800. Compensation is determined by factors including performance, experience, skills, equity, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
