Digital Product Manager III - Demand Chain
About the role
As a Product Manager III at 7-Eleven, you will lead the development of foundational digital platforms and products that power our demand chain & logistics ecosystem. You will play a critical role in shaping how we plan, optimize, and execute supply chain processes end-to-end, driving measurable impact on revenue, margin, and customer experience. This role requires strong product leadership across complex, cross-functional systems, partnering with Engineering, Demand Chain, and Merchandising to deliver scalable solutions. You will define product strategy, execute against a clear roadmap, and leverage data to continuously improve business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines platform thinking, business acumen, and execution rigor to deliver high-impact capabilities in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- 30% Strategy & Planning
- Owns the product roadmap for a specific functional area, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise goals and managing dependencies with adjacent product teams.
- Translates the enterprise vision into actionable product strategies by developing a deep understanding of 7-Eleven customer and associate needs to deliver a seamless shopping experience.
- Contributes to business growth by applying domain expertise to identify new opportunities and turning high-level goals into defined product requirements.
- Collaborates with peer PMs to ensure a cohesive user journey across different touchpoints of the enterprise ecosystem.
- Analyzes the business impact of proposed features, prioritizing the backlog to maximize ROI and support the overarching enterprise roadmap.
- Defines and tracks key success metrics (KPIs) and analytics for specific features, using data-driven insights to recommend and implement product refinements.
- Develops data-backed business cases for new initiatives, ensuring they are timely, feasible, and aligned with departmental objectives.
- PARTNER WITH ENGINEERING TO CONtribute to the technical roadmap, ensuring the product is scalable and sustainable.
- 50% Delivery & Execution
- Leads the product development lifecycle by partnering closely with engineering and design to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Ensures value delivery by mapping every feature and user story back to enterprise goals and defined KPIs.
- Identifies and clears blockers within the product team to maintain development velocity and meet technical and financial milestones.
- Prioritizes the product backlog by balancing incoming stakeholder requests against user needs and the long-term product vision.
- DRAFTS DETAILED USER STORIES AND REQUIREMENTS, PROVIDING CLEAR GUIDANCE ON DESIGN AND FUNCTIONAL LOGIC WHILE ACCOUNTING FOR CROSS-PRODUCT DEPENDENCIES.
- MONITORS PRODUCT PERFORMANCE POST-LAUNCH, ANALYZING USAGE DATA TO INFORM TACTICAL ADJUSTMENTS AND FUTURE ITERATIONS.
- PROMOTE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE BY IDENTIFYING PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS THAT ENHANCE TEAM EFFICIENCY AND INTERNAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
- 20% Team and Stakeholder
- FOSTERS A HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT WITH ENGINEERING, UX, AND THE BUSINESS TO DRIVE PRODUCT VALUE AND RESOLVE DAY-DAY IMPEDEMENTS.
- OPERATES AS A HANDS-ON PRACTITIONER OF MODERN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES (e.g., AGILE, SCRUM), ENSURING EFFICIENT WORKFLOW AND COMMUNICATION.
- SERVES AS THE "VOICE OF THE USER," EMPATHIZING WITH CUSTOMER PAIN POINTS TO ENSURE THE FINAL PRODUCT SOLVES REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS.
- MaintAINS TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION WITH THE PRODUCT TEAM REGARDING PROGRESS, LESSONS LEARNED, AND UPCOMING MILESTONES.
- MANAGE STAKEHOLDER EXPECTATIONS BY PROVIDING DATA-BACKED RATIOS FOR PRIORITIZATION AND EDUCATING PARTNERS ON THE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS.
- CONTRIBUTE TO THE PM COMMUNITY BY PARTICIPATING IN "COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE" AND SHARING LEARNINGS REGARDING MODERN DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT CORE PRACTICES.
- PARTNER WITH SENIOR LEADERSHIP TO PROVIDE VISIBILITY INTO PRODUCT HEALTH AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE EVOLUTION OF THE BROADER PRODUCT DOMAIN.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / 4 years Degree or master’s degree
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital product management
- 2 - 3 years of experience in design thinking, customer empathy, agile / scrum, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- MBA or Master’s degree
- 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Retail
