Demand Planner, Automotive Supply Chain Management
About the role
Develops and maintains a rolling 24-month realistic unconstrained consensus demand forecast for assigned OEMs, enabling effective supply, inventory, and financial planning across HARMAN Automotive.
Leads cross-functional consensus demand planning activities, including preparation and execution of OEM pre-consensus and consensus meetings.
Identifies demand volatility trends, gaps (including NPI -excluding samples-, SOP launches, and volume changes) and drives corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
Drives forecast excellence through disciplined master data usage as per PLM520, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Creates long term 5YP/10YP planning.
Supports financial close activities, and executive reviews with clear analysis, insights, and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains a rolling 24-month realistic unconstrained consensus demand forecast for assigned OEMs using the Global Consensus Demand Planning process and IBP tools (AT1 environment).
- Leads cross-functional consensus demand planning activities, including preparation and execution of OEM pre-consensus and consensus meetings.
- Identifies demand volatility trends, gaps (including NPI -excluding samples-, SOP launches, and volume changes) and drives corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Drives forecast excellence through disciplined master data usage as per PLM520, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Creates long term 5YP/10YP planning.
- Supports financial close activities, and executive reviews with clear analysis, insights, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or higher in finance, supply chain, or related field.
- Demand planning, forecasting, and SCM execution in a global automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP and planning systems (SAP, IBP, BW) and business intelligence tools (e.g., QlikSense).
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including Excel and management of large, complex data sets.
- Understanding BOM structures, NPI/SOP planning, and supply chain constraints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with structured, fact-based thinking.
- Clear communication and collaboration across Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Program Management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively under time pressure.
- Results-driven mindset with accountability for forecast quality and continuous improvement, aligned with HARMAN values.
Qualifications
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
- Ability to work onsite in Novi, MI
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Pay
$ 78,750 - $ 115,500 Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission. Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
