About the role

The Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial part in the marketing team, supporting the development, execution, coordination, and reporting of digital marketing communications. This role brings campaigns, product launches, operational updates, and resort initiatives to life through accurate, timely, and brand-aligned execution that supports both guest experience and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Gather content and key details to assist with the creation and distribution of content that effectively engages our audience.
  • Support with campaign needs and ticket queue to make updates across digital mediums including website, blog, chatbot, email, and mobile app.
  • Responsible for proofing, testing, and implementing feedback to help ensure accurate and error-free execution of links, content, and assets across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Absorb audience building and segmentation to support targeting strategies utilizing our customer database.
  • Ensure compliance with marketing regulations and best practices, including digital accessibility standards, PII protection, SEO, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming, branding, & strategy sessions.
  • Aid in reporting on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with other marketing and business initiatives.

Competencies and Job Requirements

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in developing clear, accurate, guest-facing digital content.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate respectfully with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • A genuine interest in digital marketing communications that support guest experience, brand goals, and business objectives.
  • Flexibility of schedule, including weekend, holiday, early morning, or weather-related coverage as business needs require.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability level required, with the ability to safely navigate mountain terrain as needed for winter content support, operational awareness, and occasional on-mountain coverage.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and/or CSS.
  • Quantitative skills and familiarity with web analytics tools.
  • Experience coordinating projects, tracking details, managing feedback, and meeting deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree - preference for a background in marketing, communications.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Proficiency with applicable technology, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and web-based applications.
  • Photoshop experience is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently learn new Content Management Systems and consumer email platforms.
  • Sitecore CMS and/or WordPress experience is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with graphic design, Content Management Systems, Search Engine Optimization, HTML & CSS, and Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience working with an ESP (we use Insider One).
  • Familiarity with, and passion for the ski resort environment, especially the Palisades Tahoe experience.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and ski or snowboard.
  • Must be capable of walking, standing, or skiing/ snowboarding 70% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift.
  • Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 25lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
