Diagnostic Imaging Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of imaging services at United Urology Group. This position oversees administrative and operational functions, supervises staff, and collaborates with various departments to achieve departmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and administrative functions of the imaging department.
• Supervise and develop imaging support personnel, including scheduling, patient access, and administrative staff.
• Ensure efficient workflows that support patient access, operational performance, and customer service excellence.
• Collaborate with providers, operational leaders, revenue cycle teams, and clinical staff to achieve departmental objectives.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures.
• Support departmental growth initiatives, business development activities, and strategic objectives.
• Assist with budgeting, resource planning, staffing, and operational reporting.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and support accreditation and operational readiness initiatives.
• Develop and deliver education, training, and operational guidance to providers, clinical staff, and office personnel.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of healthcare operations, patient access, scheduling, imaging, or related healthcare management experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with healthcare operations, patient scheduling, insurance verification, authorization processes, or revenue cycle activities preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to stay organized.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient computer software and database skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Very comfortable asking probing questions to patients.
• Must demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Superior leadership, team building, multitasking, and proactive problem-solving skills.
