Development Services Specialist

Position Summary

Working with the Development Services Manager, the Development Services Specialist will support the major giving, planned giving, membership and institutional giving teams. Utilizing Salesforce and other databases, they will interpret giving history, track revenue, update spreadsheets and account information, and assist ongoing stewardship efforts.

Expected Compensation

Expected Compensation Range: $28 - $32 per hour. The exact salary rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4 years Salesforce experience, with a preference given to completion of Salesforce Lightning training
• Minimum of 4 years experience working in fundraising or philanthropy
• Experience using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software with proficiency in Excel and SharePoint

• Can think “big picture” to improve processes and own the improvement process from start to finish
• Excellent record-keeping skills with particular experience in event database management

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Knowledge of donor relational database systems
• Experience working with Salesforce reporting and Apsona
• Knowledge of the various aspects of nonprofit giving, such as annual funds, major gifts, donor advised funds, tax substantiation, and acknowledgments
• Bookkeeping or other accounting experience
• Interest in/knowledge of nonprofit organizations and public broadcasting
• Familiar with donation processing
