Job Description
The Business Development Specialist is a member of the Commercial Operations & Enablement team, providing market, customer, and competitive research to the Sales team, while also generating targeted prospect lists and identifying and engaging with key decision-makers. This role is responsible for gathering insights on prospects' 3PL usage, distribution networks, and supply chain challenges to support account validation and introduce Lazer Logistics solutions.
- Support the sales pipeline with qualified leads to meet annual growth goals.
- Develop standard and unique methods to build prospect lists, conduct direct calling or marketing campaigns to increase awareness and capabilities of Lazer Logistics.
- Apply Lead Qualification value codes (5-point scale) and forward leads to the Sales Team.
- Interact with internal functional teams and external customers and vendors to identify business needs and solutions to meet those needs.
- Vet prospects to ensure they have the need, budget, and authority to purchase, turning raw leads into qualified opportunities.
- Create value statements for use in presentations, marketing campaigns, and talking points when interacting with potential customers.
- Support Sales in identifying and contacting potential customers who fit the company's ideal customer profile (ICP) via phone, email, and social media.
Data Management & Reporting
- Build, cleanse and update customer and lead data in Salesforce CRM to ensure quality information for reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities and prospective interactions in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool like Salesforce.
- Conduct analysis of the success of the Lead program and make changes to improve results.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports of qualified leads to total contacts to measure effectiveness of target lists and resulting in new business.
- Promote a business partner and ownership mindset to the team to prioritize customer service excellence, adaptability and resilience to change and continuous improvement.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
