Job Description:

Possibly prospect and develop new markets and service existing accounts in assigned territory. Possibly maintain a high level of sales and quality customer excellence. Possibly find and cultivate new leads/sales through outbound cold calling and other forms of communication for an assigned line of business. Possibly support marketing efforts by following up on marketing activities and further developing marketing leads and building the marketing database within the CRM system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outbound marketing and sales outreach through phone and email to engage customers and prospects, generate leads for the assigned line of business, and drive additional sales for the eCommerce store and parts counter (25%)
  • Conduct market research to generate valid marketing lists and key targets for future marketing activities (15%)
  • Utilize CRM to log qualified leads to either personally follow-up on (distribution) or pass to relevant outside salesperson to follow-up on (15%)
  • Assist customer service team with phone calls during times of need–employees on vacation, busy periods, etc. (15%)
  • Organize support materials to maximize efficiency and speed of taking care of the customer (15%)
  • Other duties as assigned (15%)

Working Hazards

Works in a seated position for extended periods of time. Physical/Mental Exertion: Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis, performing such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, and repetitive tasks. Continuous attention to numerical detail. Normal office environment. Ability to drive for extended periods of time each day with possible overnight stays.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Requires Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years experience in a lead generation or inside sales role.
  • Technical Abilities: Ability to connect the “pain” of the potential client during a lower level discussion to a higher level need. Knowledge of parts and equipment unique to the underground storage tank and related petroleum industry is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Previous experience with a CRM system is a strong plus for lead tracking/logging.
