Desk Property Lead Consultant - National General

About the role
As a Desk Property Lead Consultant, you will investigate and validate details of large, complex homeowners claims (typically valued over $250,000). You will determine coverage, assess damages, negotiate settlements within your authority, and serve as a resource to junior team members by providing guidance and support. Delivering high-level service to premium customers—including addressing and resolving escalated concerns promptly and professionally—is key.
Responsibilities
- Handle investigation of all aspects of the most complex or specialized Homeowners first-party claims (coverage, damages, and subrogation) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.
- Retain and expand expertise on all components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity, home systems, and evolving building techniques.
- Identify complex customer needs and meet them using advanced customer service skills.
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential, recommend process improvements, and partner with assigned representatives to achieve the best outcomes.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of company and industry insurance policies, as well as organizational relationships within the company and department.
- Mentor and develop junior staff through estimate review, reinspection, ride-alongs, and other techniques.
- Manage high-value claims from start to finish across all exposures (dwelling, contents, ALE, mitigation, and supplements).
Requirements
- Strong background handling high-volume and large-loss complex homeowners claims, including losses over $250,000.
- Expertise in writing and reviewing complex repair estimates.
- Experience managing high-value properties and owning claims end-to-end.
- Preferred: insurance carrier experience, field exposure, and ability to partner effectively with independent adjusters and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to navigate complex loss scenarios such as storm, water, and hail claims.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and track record of excellent customer service, including supporting escalations.
- Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation to support premier customer needs.

Pay
Compensation for this role is $80,000.00 - $136,625.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Sign-On Bonus
Eligible candidates may receive a $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus if they hold the applicable active licenses for this role, including:
- Home Resident Property & Casualty License
- Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License
- Applicable Appraiser License
Current employees or candidates who have previously worked for Allstate or its family of companies are not eligible. Individuals with active insurance licenses must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment. Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender it when instructed by the licensing team.
