About the role
As a Desk Property Adjuster, you will investigate and confirm the facts of loss for Homeowners claims, determine coverage and damages, and adjust and negotiate claims within assigned authority levels. You will manage the full lifecycle of the claim, including supplements, and provide timely, clear communication to customers throughout the process.
We seek an experienced Property Adjuster proficient in Xactimate with a strong foundation in claims handling, including supplements and full claim ownership. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, excellent customer service, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Applies extensive experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Litigation, Large Loss, Water Mitigation, Desk Review).
- Partners with fraud or subrogation reps to achieve the best outcome for claims involving those areas.
- Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
- Identifies the most complex customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it.
- Demonstrates advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex Homeowners first-party claims (coverage, damages, and subrogation) with discretion and independence within increased authority levels.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Xactimate.
- Strong foundation in claims handling, including supplements and full claim ownership.
- Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings is strongly preferred.
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment.
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.

Pay
- Inside Property Cons I: $53,500.00 - $77,800.00/salary
- Inside Property Cons II: $56,000.00 - $82,500.00/salary
- Inside Property Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - $104,100.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components, such as incentive pay (e.g., commission or bonus), if applicable.
