Design Build Project Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Develops, proactively manages, and assures project team adherence to program/project quality management plans tailored to the unique demands of Design-Build delivery, in accordance with client and HNTB Quality Management System requirements.
• Reviews and approves subconsultant quality plans, and those of other entities under contract to the client, when necessary.
• Makes sure HNTB program/project staff and subconsultant, as well as other entities under contract to the client, adhere to the project quality plan and reports on compliance internally and to client, including identifying and mitigating quality related risks.
• Develops and oversees the delivery of program/project quality management plan training.
• Manages and implements a quality audit program.
• Manages a corrective action system to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Reports on and provides recommendations to leadership regarding the performance of the program/project quality management plan and potential improvements to the HNTB QMS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related math/science or project management discipline and 12 years demonstrated experience managing a quality program, including experience auditing programs/projects in the planning, design and/or construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of the principles and practices related to quality management during design on large capital programs or projects (inclusive of alternative delivery projects for assignment to DB projects).
• Strong practical knowledge of the implementation of quality management plans meeting ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Pay

The approximate pay range for New York is $180,596.86 - $360,607.36. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
