About the role

The Program and Support Unit is looking for a Departmental Technician to join a dynamic support group responsible for maintaining and continually improving the Bureau’s Quality Assurance and Training functions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating and communicating with staff across the Bureau
- Researching and presenting new performance metrics
- Identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience
- Supporting quality assurance initiatives and training efforts
Knowledge of Treasury systems and applications is highly desirable and will help you succeed from day one. This role is ideal for someone who is innovative, personable, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
The following education and experience requirements apply to different levels of the Departmental Technician role:
Departmental Technician 7
- One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
- Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may substitute for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 8
- One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
- One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree may substitute for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician E9
- One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
- One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
- Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree and one year of job-related experience may substitute for the experience requirement.
