About the role
Responsible for assisting the Consignment Director of Video Games in processing incoming consignments as well as assisting with assigned consignment work.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming consignments accurately and efficiently, including:
- Opening packages
- Labeling and verifying contents of packages
- Creating an electronic inventory for the consignment
- Communicate with clients in all aspects of the consignment
- Research the status of consignments
- Return client material when requested
- Perform department-wide inventories of consignment material
- Answer client inquiries
- Assemble client information packets
- Write basic catalog descriptions for video game auction lots
Requirements
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent
- Candidate must have a genuine interest in vintage and modern video games and the history of the industry, including knowledge of major and ancillary video game companies as well as publishers and developers, both past and present
- Experience in customer service or related field
- Interest in collectibles
Skills and Abilities
- Must be highly proficient in basic Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and pay great attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
