Game Management Coordinator

The position requires an understanding of and commitment to the values of La Sierra University, NAIA, and the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC).

About the Role

As the Game Management Coordinator, you will compile and report all statistics to the NAIA and GSAC Conference offices, post results to the athletics website, and oversee game-day operations. Responsibilities include managing student workers, setting up and tearing down for home games, operating statistics computers, and ensuring live-streaming equipment functions properly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and hospitable game environment for teams, fans, students, officials, and administrators while adhering to La Sierra University, Athletics, NAIA, and GSAC policies.
• Assist the Game Administrator with crowd control.
• Operate and manage the Game Management Department, including approximately 150 home events per year (both on- and off-campus). Availability required at least two hours before the first contest and 30-60 minutes after the last contest, depending on the sport.
• Hire, train, and schedule student workers for game-day operations.
• Oversee staffing of student workers and create game-day scripts for smooth event operations.
• Coordinate pregame and halftime festivities (e.g., National Anthem performer, flag presentation).
• Greet and escort officials to designated areas and prepare officials' rooms or locker rooms.
• Assist the Facilities Manager with game-day setup and post-event striking.
• Demonstrate proficiency with PrestoSports/PrestoStats, SIDEARM Website, Volleywrite, Hudl, and production truck operations, including knowledge of scoreboards, official books, and game-day procedures for all sanctioned sports.
• Supervise KRONOS for Game Management and Facilities workers.
• Manage ticket sales for all home events.
• Coordinate with head coaches to ensure all game-day items are in place before events.
• Promote the NAIA Champions of Character program and assist with COC event creation.
• Ensure cameras and live-stream systems are operational before and during games.
• Enforce athletics rules and regulations.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support athletic competitions and events.
• Collaborate with the Sports Information Director and Marketing department on event publicity, including creating, printing, and distributing media guides and game-day materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletics Director and Associate Athletic Director for Operations.
• Monitor the athletics calendar to ensure all game management events are properly scheduled.

Pay

Wage range: $21.45 to $33.50 per hour, based on qualifications and directly related experience.

This is a temporary position ending June 30, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.
