Dental Billing Coordinator - West Babylon,NY

Babylon Dental Care · West Babylon, NY · 3 wk ago
On-siteAccounting$27–$30/hrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes description of role, responsibilities, qualifications, benefits, pay, schedule? It mentions schedule? Not explicit schedule. It mentions flexible schedule? Actually benefits list includes "Flexible schedule". So schedule is present as benefit? It says "Flexible schedule" under benefits. So we can include Benefits section with list items. Pay: "Competitive Compensation: Earn $27 to $30 per hour". So Pay section. Benefits: list items: 401(k) matching, Bonus based on performance, Company parties, Competitive salary (but we already have pay), Dental insurance, Employee discounts, Flexible schedule, Health insurance, Opportunity for advancement, Paid time off, Parental leave, Training & development, Tuition assistance. Also "Enjoy paid holidays, personal time off, sick time (as per NYS law)". Also "Health insurance options available", "A $2500 dental credit for your own dental needs if services provided within the Practices", "A 401K with employer match", "Most benefits start after your probationary period of 90 days". We need to include all substantive info. Avoid duplication. We'll create Benefits ul with items: 401(k) with employer match, Bonus based on performance, Company parties, Dental insurance, Employee discounts, Flexible schedule, Health insurance options, Opportunity for advancement, Paid time off (including paid holidays, personal time off, sick time per NYS law), Parental leave, Training & development, Tuition assistance, $2500 dental credit for own dental needs (if services within practice). Also note that most benefits start after 90-day probation. Pay: $27 to $30 per hour. Schedule: Not explicitly given besides flexible schedule under benefits. Could we create Schedule section? The rule: only create Schedule if posting actually states them. It does mention flexible schedule as benefit, but not schedule details like full-time/part-time. Might be okay to not create separate Schedule section; we can include flexible schedule under Benefits. About the role: we have description of role and pillars etc. Could be About the role section. Responsibilities: we have "What You’ll Do as a Dental Billing Coordinator" with subsections. Could combine into Responsibilities ul. Requirements/Qualifications: we have "Experience Required" and "Minimal Qualifications". Also "What Success Looks Like" maybe as Qualifications? But we can treat "Experience Required" as Requirements, and "Minimal Qualifications" as Qualifications? Or combine. We'll make Requirements section for experience and skills, and Qualifications for education. We must not repeat job title as heading. Use

for section headings. We must not include boilerplate like EEO etc. Not present. We must output only HTML fragment. Let's craft:

About the role

... description about role, pillars, etc.

Responsibilities

  • ... each duty
We need to preserve all substantive info; we must not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include each bullet from the posting. Let's extract responsibilities sections: Insurance Claims & Reimbursement: - Prepare and submit insurance claims and pre-authorizations electronically and manually with all required documentation and attachments. - Review claims before submission to ensure complete clinical documentation is included, reducing delays and denials. - Monitor submitted claims and proactively resolve denied, rejected, or pending claims to support timely reimbursement. - Identify insurance trends or recurring reimbursement challenges and collaborate with the clinical team to strengthen documentation standards and improve claim approval rates. - Assist providers in obtaining any additional clinical documentation needed to support insurance payment. - Monitor pre-determinations and pre-authorizations to help patients move forward with treatment in a timely manner. - Enter insurance payments accurately and maintain complete, up-to-date insurance plan notes and patient ledger documentation. - Add new insurance plans and maintain accurate plan information within the practice management system. - Follow secondary insurance policies to ensure claims are submitted accurately and within required timeframes. - Help support departmental efforts to reduce insurance accounts receivable. Patient & Team Support: - Collaborate with Patient Coordinators and the Billing Team to address outstanding patient balances before scheduled appointments. - Communicate proactively with Patient Coordinators regarding insurance updates that may impact treatment or patient financial responsibilities. - Mentor Front Desk team members on dental insurance concepts and best practices for patient communication. - Support the onboarding and training of new Billing team members during Global Training. - Monitor email and internal communications throughout the day and respond in a timely manner to support efficient practice operations. Team Collaboration & Practice Support: - Work collaboratively with the entire practice to meet or exceed monthly goals and support the overall success of the organization. - Generate reports, review billing metrics, and assist with department reporting as directed. - Participate in bi-weekly Administrative Huddles and contribute ideas for improving processes and patient service. - Complete assigned close-out responsibilities accurately and on schedule. - Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Billing Department and the Practice. Now Requirements: from "Experience Required": - Experience with Dentrix Ascend or other dental practice management software is helpful, but we'll provide training on our systems - Three or more years of dental insurance billing experience in a general dental practice (3–5 years preferred). - Strong understanding of dental insurance, claim submission, pre-authorizations, EOBs, and insurance reimbursement. - Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired service in a fast-paced dental or healthcare environment. - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. - Strong math skills and the ability to confidently explain insurance benefits and EOBs. - Positive, collaborative communication skills with patients and teammates. - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Qualifications: "Minimal Qualifications: Education: High school or equivalent (Required). College degree preferred." Also maybe "What Success Looks Like" could be considered Qualifications? But we already have Qualifications for education. Could add another section for "Qualities" but rule: only include sections when posting has real specific content. "What Success Looks Like" is a list of desired traits. Could be considered Qualifications or Requirements. But we already have Requirements and Qualifications; we could add a section "Qualities" but maybe better to incorporate into Requirements? However we must not invent or summarize away detail; we need to preserve that content. Could create a section "Qualities for Success" but heading must be from allowed list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. "Skills" is allowed. So we could put the success traits under Skills. That seems appropriate. Thus:

Skills

  • Dependable, punctual, and prepared
  • Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset in every interaction
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with patients and teammates
  • Thinks critically, solves problems proactively, and seeks solutions that create the best outcomes for our patients and practice
  • Stays organized, manages priorities effectively, and follows through on commitments
  • Remains calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes initiative, embraces feedback, and is committed to continuous learning
  • Brings a positive and collaborative attitude to the team every day
  • Embraces new technology, systems, and processes to continually improve the patient experience
Now Benefits: we need to list all benefits. From text: "Benefits: 401(k)401(k) matchingBonus based on performanceCompany partiesCompetitive salaryDental insuranceEmployee discountsFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceOpportunity for advancementPaid time offParental leaveTraining & developmentTuition assistance" Also later: "Comprehensive Benefits:Enjoy paid holidays, personal time off, sick time (as per NYS law)You start accruing sick time from day one, as per NYS and the Practice extends PTO within year one.Health insurance options available A $2500 dental credit for your own dental needs if services provided within the Practices A 401K with employer match Most benefits start after your probationary period of 90 days" Also earlier: "Competitive Compensation: Earn $27 to $30 per hour, reflective of your skills and dedication." Thus Benefits list: 401(k) with employer match, Bonus based on performance, Company parties, Dental insurance, Employee discounts, Flexible schedule, Health insurance options, Opportunity for advancement, Paid time off (including paid holidays, personal time off, sick time per NYS law), Parental leave, Training & development, Tuition assistance, $2500 dental credit for own dental needs (if services within practice). Also note that most benefits start after 90-day probation. We should avoid duplication: Competitive salary is covered in Pay section, so we can omit from Benefits. Now Pay: $27 to $30 per hour. Schedule: Not separate; we have flexible schedule under Benefits. Now About the role: need to include description of role and pillars etc. Let's extract: "Every Role Matters.
